  1.                Hyper-Rez: Hot Key Accessible Hypertext

  4. Most of the files in this directory are ASCII text files. "HR.EXE"
  5. refers to a shareware hypertext engine called "Hyper-Rez."
  6.  
  7. Loading Hyper-Rez
  8. -----------------
  9.  
  10.         Type "HR" and return.
  11.  
  12. In a second or two, the program will have loaded into memory.
  13. Hyper-Rez is now in the background. At this point, you may go into any
  14. other program that you wish. If you want to instantly access - "hot
  15. key" into - the hyper text program while in another program,
  16.  
  17.         tap [ALT] Z
  18.  
  19. The title screen will appear.

  21. Navigating with Hyper-Rez
  22. -------------------------

  24. To choose a highlighted file,
  25.  
  26.         Tap DOWN/UP arrow key
  27.  
  28. To jump to a file (of highlighted file name chosen),
  29.  
  30.         Tap RIGHT arrow key
  31.  
  32. To return to prior screen,
  33.  
  34.         Tap LEFT arrow key
  35.  
  36. To move down a screen,
  37.  
  38.         Tap [PgDn]
  39.  
  40. To move up a screen,
  41.  
  42.         Tap [PgUp]
  43.  
  44. To highlight a line of text,
  45.  
  46.         Tap + or - keys
  47.

  49. To Exit from the Hyper-Rez

  52.         Tap [ESC]

  54. To unload from memory, make sure any Hyper-Rez screen appears, and
  55.  
  56.         tap [Alt] T.

  58. To reload, follow the instructions above.

  60. Changing Text or Background or Highlighting Colors
  61. --------------------------------------------------

  63.         Invoke HRK from the directory the program is in, and change
  64.         the colors according to the listing provided in the HRK
  65.         screen.

  67. You might need to do this if you have monochrome monitor to make sure
  68. you can see the links or file names highlighted.

  73. Problems?
  74. ---------

  76. Sometimes, when hot keying into the program, you might notice the
  77. program's screen does not appear! Instead, the screen you were looking
  78. at strangely somehow appears to have become part of the Hyper-Rez
  79. network.

  81. If this happens to you, then
  82.  
  83.         tap [Alt] T
  84.  
  85. This unloads Hyper-Rez. Make sure the screen you were looking at prior
  86. to hot keying into Hyper Rez does NOT have any file name delimiters
  87. (usually angle brackets) on the same line. If at the DOS line,
  88.  
  89.         enter CLS.
  90.  
  91. In other cases, leave any screen containing the file delimiters!
  92. Restart the program normally. If this fails, reboot the machine, and
  93. load Hyper-Rez again.
  94.  
  95. Another problem that may occur to users of Hyper-Rez is that, after
  96. loading the program, nothing happens when the hot key is tapped; no
  97. screen appears. To remedy this,
  98.  
  99.         enter HRK
  100.  
  101. from the directory the program is in, and change the hot key to
  102. another key combination. (Follow the instructions on the HRK screen.)
  103. Make sure the new hot key you choose is not one you use with a
  104. favorite program.
